I agree that scanning paper to an electronic format is the first step in a paperless office but you also need a tool that can organize, manage and assist with collaboration amongst a team. It's important to find the most efficient and cost effective tool so you are not wasting time or money on your practice.

Just purchased the ScanSnap S1500. It is some slick and comes with Adobe Acrobat 9.0. Only had it for a day but I'm finding it fast and very helpful.
